Purchased a car back in 2019 - within 6 months I had to have a new exhaust (a hole was burnt in it), get the power steering fixed, have all the tyres changed and numerous other problems. Tried to sell about 6 months ago to a garage in a part ex, and find out the car was a cat C. Went back through all documentation and absolutely nothing was mentioned. Avoid !

Despite purchasing my car last summer the company have still refused to acknowledge my communication post sale. I have had faults present on the car since purchase, it is not satisfactory quality and Chiswick won’t communicate with me.

Since driving home and going in to restricted performance, nothing. I am now some months later and countless costs since being left with another bill of ÂŁ6k, nearly the price of the car.

On top of this and despite chasing I have not received the V5C, the DVLA cannot help as the dealer have failed to provide any information regarding this vehicle.

Can you finally contact me as a matter of urgency, by far the worst dealer I have come across.

Please be advised not to purchase any car from Chiswick Motors or viva motors. These guys are fraudster I bought a car, 2days later I heard some noise took it to my mechanic it had oil leak, faulty belt tensioner, faulty AC compressor and a stiff clutch.

They told me to take it to their own mechanic as they didn't trust mine. After taking the car there they refused to pick up my call, answer email and message. Leaving the payment for me, I have reported it to advise bureau, trading standards and now seeking legal proceedings.

The stress this company have put me through and loss of income for the car being with their mechanic for a week. They only pick up when I call on different numbers then hang up when they realise its me.

Dishonest and misleading trader
I had negative experience with this trader. Bought a vehicle from them that was advertised as IMMACULATE CONDITION IN&OUT.
I was coming from abroad so over the phone was re-assured a number of times that the vehicle is sound and there are no hidden "surprises".
I have placed a non-refundable 10% deposit and came (on a tight schedule) to collect the vehicle and bring it to Ireland. Firstly I had to wait for sales person which wasn't a big issue as long as the rest of my experience would be ok, but...
Sales person had to leave straight away after delivering the car (saying he needs to go somewhere else) leaving me with his assistant. The girl could not answer a single question about the car,
I was only allowed to test drive within Chiswick park estate (very limited test drive), but I was bought by "honest" promises of the seller and the fact that they provide warranty with their cars( which is another marketing trick - you have to pay extra for it).
The car had 1 warning on the dashboard that I rang sales person about it. I was advised that it is a minor issue and I can get it fixed at home and will be reimbursed for my expenses. Turned out that the repair cost is just over 2000 and the issue is quite big.
This is a result of the car being in an accident despite the fact the they provided clear HPI report.
I was asking seller to compensate for repairs with no luck. Without a repair the vehicle cannot pass NCT (Irish version of MOT) and therefore is not roadworthy.
Checking the car ownership/MOT/millage history it is pointing that car was acquired by trader after being damaged, badly/cheaply repaired (bare minimum just to get the car driving) and put for sale.
I really wonder how they managed to pass MOT with active pedestrian protection system warning on the dashboard.
Hope this review will help someone to pay more attention when buying the car.
My own recommendation is to stay away from this trader as in my opinion they could not be trusted at all.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COWBOY COMPANY - MY CAR IS A DEATHTRAP AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE. Firstly, their advert was misleading, said it had one owner from new - when I received the V5, I was the third. It said it had a FSH, it did not, and hadn’t been serviced since 2015, and only a couple of times before that (the car is 8 years old with 142k on the clock), nor did it have parking sensors. I let some of that go as I appreciate it was a fairly good price and high mileage. The service book was not given to me until I’d paid. It then came on with a serious warning light that the engine was dangerously overheating. I was told to take it to this back street mechanics in Brent Cross, which took a whole day there and back. I was told there was no water in the radiator or coolant .... so no way had it been newly serviced and the engine could have blown at any point. After I collected the car from the garage several days later, I asked for receipts and a copy invoice... to be told they DONT KEEP PAPERWORK (!!!) More importantly, I took it to a reputable tyre shop the other day as there was a nail in the tyre. After putting it on the ramp the mechanics were shocked at the condition of the car and the three other tyres - rotting and split, and punctures illegally repaired. There are holes and rust everywhere on the underside of the car. He would not even replace the tyres as said the car was unsafe (and kindly didn’t charge me a penny for all the time spent on it) and I need to take it to where I bought it from. I called Chiswick Motors from there, and this squirt of a ‘salesman’ was SO rude, and told me he was too busy and didn’t have time to deal with this.. and hung up. I have been on the Motorway in this deathtrap, and despite calls and emails, I’ve heard nothing from them. They appear to be absolute scammers with no regard for human beings safety. I urge you to STAY AWAY from them. I’ve reported them to the Police and Trading Standards as it’s only a matter of time before someone dies in one of the cars they sell.

CHISWICK MOTORS, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - I called at 2pm to arrange to view a car. Was told it was ready and to come to view and to text when I was on my way so I did. Left home at 3pm and travelled an hour to the car to be told that someone else that had been calling for a week was now coming to see it and they would get first refusal. Great what a waste of my time! I asked about service history and the guy said it had partial to full service history so I asked what did they mean and he said it had missed some services...so not full service history then. The other customer arrived shortly after so I left.

I then read the google reviews and seems I had a lucky escape as the guy is clearly a total cowboy. I worked in the motor trade for 10 years and came across every trick in the book like this every day so I know one when I see a fraudster. AVOID!!!!!!

My careful buying a car from this trader. I received two parking penalty fines. When I tried to get proof of purchase with the time to appeal for these fines, i was ignored. I chased Cyrus numerous times, a customer should never have to ask twice!

Recently brought a car from this dealer. A Vw golf mk6. 40mn later after i bought the car, the car broke down. So i rang the dealer and asked if he there was a problem he no, but he will send me a truck he said but i will have to pay and also the truck can only take me to his local garage which i will have to pay too. I said iv only just bought the car you 40mn ago. He said the car was sold as seen. So i rang my local garsge and explained what happened he said the gear box went and it will cost about ÂŁ2500 so i called the dealer again and said to him that i would like to return the car he said no you cant. So i said at least send me truck. I won't send you a truck now. So i said i want to give the car back. He said no i won't take it even though its only been an hour since you brought it. I said ok then so i will see you in court. Then the guy straight away said bring the car and i will give a full refund, and when i got there he still tried to give me some money and not all of it.
