Set in yellow gold with a European shank, he designed everything around the stone we brought him, and included several special details - 3 diamonds on one side (one for every decade), and birthstone chips for both her father and I on the inside rim. It is a true statement ring and a wonderful heirloom piece! James is wonderful to work with - creative, patient, open-minded, and not at all pushy. She is smart and creative and clever and fun to spend time with. Lindsey became a friend and walked us through the process of deciding what is worth using and what is worth trading in. I was amazed that JCS took in gold, diamonds etc for store credit or cash! All the jewelry I wasn't wearing gave me an incredible credit towards my new pieces! I first met James 12 years ago when I had him design my wedding ring. With painstaking details he came up with a beautiful design that I loved! He also designed my husband's wedding band.

He asks a lot of questions about what kind of design you have in mind and incorporates them but also has his own ideas to help you with your vision.

A few months back I went to James again to have a custom ring made out of the diamonds from my mother's wedding ring. The results were stunning.
